This position is open to new or experienced candidates to work as an OSHC assistant under the guidance of the OSHC Coordinator.  The service aims to provide a warm, happy, stimulating and safe environment for children who attend.

The ideal candidate will enjoy working with children of different ages and personalities, be a team player willing to follow instructions, open to learning, and willing to adapt to an ever-changing environment.

 

You must possess good communication skills and be comfortable communicating with children, parents and staff.

 

The position is likely to include after school and vacation care shifts.

 

Key responsibilities:

• Provide a safe and stimulating environment for primary school aged children

• Supervise indoor and outdoor activities

• Food preparation and serving

• Cleaning work area/s

• Accompany children on bus transport between locations

The successful applicant may be working towards a qualification, already hold a Certificate III in Children Services/Early Childhood Education and Care, or simply have a desire to enter the field of childcare.  

You must also hold, or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check (Blue Card), and a First Aid certificate is desirable.
